Jehanabad Triumph Over Nawada by 7 Wickets in Shyamal Sinha Inter District Under-16 Cricket Tournament

Bihar Sharif, June 4: In an exciting match held on Tuesday, June 4, under the Magadh Zone of the Shyamal Sinha Inter District Under-16 Cricket Tournament, Jehanabad defeated Nawada by 7 wickets. The tournament is being organized under the aegis of the Bihar Cricket Association (BCA).

The match took place at the Nalanda Cricket Ground. Nawada won the toss and elected to bat first, scoring 133 runs in 28.4 overs before being bowled out. Key contributions for Nawada came from Prithvi (23 runs), Vikram (28 runs), Harsh (26 runs), and Raj Pandey (15 runs). Jehanabad’s bowlers were impressive, with Raj Kamal and Prince Thakur both taking 3 wickets each, while Prince and Kumar Shan took 1 wicket each.

In response, Jehanabad successfully chased the target, reaching 138 runs in 21.5 overs with the loss of just 3 wickets. Ankul was the standout performer for Jehanabad, scoring a half-century (54 runs). Sunny added 26 runs, Kanishka remained unbeaten on 29 runs, and Kumar Shan also remained unbeaten with 10 runs.

For Nawada, Mohammad Javed took 2 wickets and Ishu Kumar took 1 wicket.
