Patna: The Indradev Rai Memorial Cricket Tournament witnessed a decisive 8-wicket win for National AC against Youth Union Club at Sanjay Gandhi Stadium on Sunday, 5 January. The tournament is being held under the aegis of Kumar Club.
After winning the toss, Youth Union Club chose to bat first but managed only 75 runs, losing all their wickets in 16.3 overs. Sahil Kumar top-scored with 16 runs, while extras contributed 13. National AC’s bowlers delivered a disciplined performance, with Advya Vardhan claiming 2 wickets for 18 runs, supported by Ayansh Avi (1/10), Aryan Bhelari (1/8), and Abhishek Yadav (1/15).
In response, National AC comfortably chased the target, reaching 78 for the loss of 2 wickets in 9.5 overs. Ravi Raj led the scoring with an unbeaten 29 runs, while Deepu Kumar added 28 to the tally. For Youth Union Club, Ankit Raj (1/12) and Vikas Thakur (1/18) took a wicket each.
Deepu Kumar was adjudged Player of the Match for his all-round contribution. The award was presented by Ashok Kumar Sinha, convener of the organising committee.
The first semi-final match between Blaze CC and Anisabad CC is scheduled for Monday, 6 January.
