Patna: Bihar Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary has directed officials to ensure that the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET)-2026 is conducted in a fair, transparent, peaceful and malpractice-free manner across the state, with no room for negligence at any level.
Reviewing preparations at a high-level meeting held at the Sankalp Hall in Lok Sevak Awas, the Chief Minister issued clear instructions to strictly follow all prescribed standards and complete arrangements within the stipulated time.
The meeting, held in view of the NEET examination scheduled for June 21, 2026, was briefed in detail by Additional Chief Secretary of the General Administration Department, Dr B. Rajender. He informed that the examination would be conducted at 331 centres across 35 districts in the state, with comprehensive measures in place to ensure integrity and transparency.
The Chief Minister emphasised that candidates must be provided with a safe, smooth and well-organised environment at examination centres, calling it the government’s top priority. To support students, he announced that travel in all state-run buses would be free for NEET candidates, and directed officials to ensure its effective implementation.

He further instructed all District Magistrates and Superintendents of Police to maintain robust security arrangements at examination centres. Strict vigilance must be maintained over question paper security, centre monitoring, and the activities of anti-social elements. Any report of irregularities or malpractice, he warned, should be dealt with promptly and firmly.
Samrat Choudhary also directed that essential facilities such as drinking water, toilets, electricity supply, and medical assistance must be adequately arranged at all centres. Additionally, traffic management and information systems should be strengthened to ease the movement of candidates and their guardians.
Reaffirming the state government’s commitment, he stated that a fair and transparent examination system would be upheld at all costs, and any form of misconduct would not be tolerated.
Senior officials present at the meeting included Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister Deepak Kumar, Chief Secretary Pratyaya Amrit, Director General of Police Vinay Kumar, Additional Chief Secretary Dr B. Rajender, Secretaries Lokesh Kumar Singh, Kundan Kumar and Sanjay Kumar Singh, along with other senior administrative and police officers.
