Patna: Champions and Blasters registered emphatic victories in the VTech Champions Trophy Cricket Tournament at Krishna Stadium, Khemnichak, on Wednesday, 29 January.
In the first match, Champions outclassed Jaabanj with a six-wicket win. Jaabanj, opting to bat first after winning the toss, posted 126/8 in 20 overs. Aman Raj (40) and Sameer (31) were the main contributors. In response, Champions chased down the target with ease, scoring 127/4 in just 12.1 overs, powered by a sensational unbeaten 102-run knock from Aditya Raj.
In the second match, Bombers struggled against Blasters after electing to bat first. They were bowled out for a modest 70 runs in 12.5 overs, with Ayansh (22) and Astitwa (17) providing some resistance. Blasters made short work of the chase, reaching 71/2 in 9.1 overs, thanks to Saubhagya’s 48-run knock.
