Patna: In a commanding display, CAB defeated CAB Red by nine wickets in the Akhilesh Memorial Under-13 Cricket Tournament on Thursday, 5 December, at the Cricket Academy of Bihar (CAB Ground).
CAB Red won the toss and opted to bat first, but their innings faltered as they were bowled out for 113 runs in 22 overs. Krishna was the standout performer with 26 runs, while Raman contributed 12, and Anshuman added 10. CAB’s bowlers put in a disciplined performance, with Shaukat Ali claiming 2 wickets for 27 runs, supported by Kunal Giri (1/30) and Ayushman (1/6).
In their reply, CAB cruised to victory, reaching the target of 114 with ease. They finished at 115 runs for the loss of just one wicket in 19.5 overs. Shivam led the charge with a solid 30 runs, while Rishit played a match-winning knock of 24 not out. Sparsh added 8 runs to the chase. CAB Red’s Harsh was the sole wicket-taker, conceding 17 runs.
Rishit’s all-round effort earned him the Player of the Match award, as CAB continued to assert their dominance in the tournament.
