Yashasvi Shukla of BSEB receives player of the match award

Patna: Bihar State Electricity Board (BSEB) delivered a commanding performance to defeat Sharma Sporting by 116 runs in the Adhikari Madan Mohan Prasad Memorial Patna District Senior Division Cricket League, organised under the aegis of the Patna District Cricket Association. Yashasvi Shukla was named Player of the Match for his superb century.
At the local Energy Stadium, BSEB won the toss and elected to bat first, posting an imposing total of 254 for 2 in 35 overs. Yashasvi Shukla played a scintillating knock of 109 runs off 78 deliveries, striking 13 fours and three sixes. Abhilash Kumar provided strong support with an unbeaten 87, helping the side to a formidable total.
In reply, Sharma Sporting were bowled out for 138 in 28.1 overs. Shambhu Kumar led the bowling attack brilliantly, claiming four wickets, while Pradeep chipped in with three.
For Sharma Sporting, R.K. Viraj top-scored with 34 runs, but the rest of the batting line-up failed to build substantial partnerships. Regular fall of wickets ensured that the team never recovered in the chase.
