Patna: A delegation from the BJP Sports Cell, led by State Convenor Satish Raju, met with Bihar Sports Minister, Surendra Mehta, on Saturday to submit a 15-point memorandum aimed at enhancing the welfare of the state’s athletes.
Satish Raju emphasized the BJP Sports Cell’s dedication to the well-being of Bihar’s players. The memorandum included key demands such as the formation of a Sports Commission in Bihar, the establishment of a Government Body for the Bihar State Sports Authority, and an investigation into financial irregularities during the 2023 Sports Award Ceremony.
Raju mentioned that the Sports Minister acknowledged the memorandum and assured that appropriate actions would be taken. He reaffirmed the BJP Sports Cell’s commitment to supporting athletes and promoting sports in Bihar.
Joint convenors Mukesh Paswan, Rajiv Ranjan Yadav, Vikas Kumar Singh, and Sumit Jha accompanied Raju during the meeting.
