Patna: From August 1, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) ministers in Bihar will begin listening to public grievances at the Bihar BJP state office as part of the Sahyog programme. The schedule detailing which ministers will be available on specific days has been released.
On Mondays, ministers Mangal Pandey, Kedar Gupta, and Krishna Nandan Paswan will address the public’s concerns and work towards resolving them at the BJP office.
Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary will hold the Sahyog programme at his official residence, 11 M Stand Road, on Tuesdays. He will listen to the grievances of the people at his residence.
Wednesdays will see ministers Renu Devi, Nitish Mishra, and Dilip Kumar Jaiswal attending to public issues. On Thursdays, ministers Nitin Nabin, Santosh Singh, and Surendra Mehta will conduct the Sahyog programme.
On Fridays, Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Kumar Sinha will host the programme at his official residence, 3 Stand Road. The week concludes on Saturdays with a Sahyog programme at the BJP state office, where ministers Prem Kumar, Neeraj Kumar Bablu, Janak Ram, and Hari Sahni will be present to resolve public issues.
The BJP is currently part of the Bihar government. While the JD(U) state office has been organizing public hearings for some time, the BJP had not started a similar programme until now. However, from August 1, the Sahyog programme will be held at the BJP office. The ministers will be available at the BJP office for five days a week, with the Deputy Chief Ministers conducting the programme at their residences on the remaining two days.
The BJP has officially announced the commencement of the Sahyog programme. It remains to be seen how effectively the ministers can resolve the grievances presented to them through this initiative.
