Patna: Bihar government has once again carried out a major reshuffle of senior IAS officers. The General Administration Department has issued an official notification confirming the new postings and additional responsibilities.
According to the notification, 1993-batch IAS officer Deepak Kumar Singh has been appointed as Principal Secretary to the Governor. He will also hold additional charge as Director General-cum-Chief Inquiry Commissioner in the General Administration Department.
Arvind Kumar Choudhary, a 1995-batch IAS officer and currently Additional Chief Secretary of the Home Department, has been posted as Additional Chief Secretary in the Cabinet Secretariat Department. He will continue to hold additional responsibilities as Controller of Examinations at the Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board, Patna, and as Chairman of the Bihar Staff Selection Commission.
Another 1995-batch IAS officer, B. Rajendra, who serves as Additional Chief Secretary in the General Administration Department, has been given additional charge of the Vigilance Department. Meanwhile, 2004-batch IAS officer Kundan Kumar, Secretary of the Industries Department, has been assigned additional charge as Secretary of the Home Department.
Sanjay Kumar Singh, a 2007-batch IAS officer, has been relieved of his additional charge as Inquiry Commissioner in the General Administration Department, Patna. He will continue in his current roles as Secretary of the Finance Department, with additional responsibilities in the Commercial Taxes Department and the Chief Minister’s Secretariat.
Seema Tripathi, a 2009-batch IAS officer and Secretary of the Bihar Human Rights Commission, has been given additional charge as Secretary of the Revenue and Land Reforms Department. Nilesh Ramchandra Deore, a 2011-batch IAS officer and Special Secretary in the Civil Aviation Department, will now also serve as Managing Director of the Bihar State Housing Board, Patna.
Among Bihar Administrative Service officers, 2012-batch officer Inayat Khan, Managing Director of Bihar State Educational Infrastructure Development Corporation Limited, Patna, has been given additional charge as Special Secretary in the Revenue and Land Reforms Department. Similarly, 2012-batch IAS officer Arvind Kumar Verma has been assigned additional charge as Special Secretary in the Industries Department.
Rajeev Kumar Srivastava, a 2013-batch IAS officer, has been appointed as Additional Secretary in the Finance Department. Meanwhile, 2007-batch IAS officer Gopal Meena, currently serving as Secretary to the Governor, has been relieved for deputation to the Central Government.
