Bihar Government Continues Officer Reshuffle, Transfers Senior IAS Officers

Patna: The Bihar government has once again undertaken a major reshuffle, transferring several senior IAS officers and assigning additional responsibilities. A notification was issued by the General Administration Department detailing the changes.

As per the notification, Mihir Kumar Singh, Additional Chief Secretary of the Panchayati Raj Department, has been assigned additional responsibility as Chief Investigation Commissioner of the General Administration Department. Sanjay Kumar Agarwal, Secretary of the Agriculture Department, will continue to hold the additional charge of Secretary of the Transport Department. Meanwhile, Deepak Anand, Secretary of the Finance Department (Expenditure), has been appointed as Secretary of the Labour Resources Department.

Ashima Jain, Secretary of the Urban Development Department, has been transferred to the Finance Department as Secretary (Expenditure) until further notice. She will also serve as Investigation Commissioner with additional responsibility for the General Administration Department.

Other key changes include B. Karthikeya Dhanji, Project Director of the Bihar Education Project, and Pranav Kumar, Secretary of the Home Department, both of whom have been given additional charge as Investigation Commissioners in the General Administration Department.

Additionally, Laxman Tiwari, Special Officer in the Revenue and Land Reforms Department, has been appointed as Sub-Divisional Officer of Chapra Sadar, with powers vested under the Indian Civil Defense Code 2023.

This reshuffle follows a series of transfers earlier this month, with 14 IPS officers being transferred on 4 September, 29 on 12 September, 9 senior officers on 13 September, and another 15 on 14 September.
