Bihar Government Announces Transfers in the Education Department

Patna: The Bihar government is currently undergoing a significant reshuffle, with a round of transfer postings across various departments. Following large-scale transfers of IAS and IPS officers, the Education Department has now issued transfer orders for several key officials. On Wednesday, five District Programme Officers were promoted and appointed as District Education Officers (DEO) in different districts. Additionally, one Programme Officer was transferred based on spouse grounds.

According to the notification issued by the Education Department, District Programme Officer Yogesh Kumar from West Champaran has been transferred and posted as the District Education Officer of Gopalganj, retaining his current pay scale until further orders. Similarly, District Programme Officer Nasir Hussain from Shivhar has been appointed as the District Education Officer of Kishanganj. District Programme Officer Amarendra Kumar Pandey from Kaimur (Bhabua) has been made the District Education Officer of Buxar.

In addition, District Programme Officer Raghavendra Pratap Singh from Rohtas (Sasaram) has been transferred and posted as the District Education Officer of Siwan. Another District Programme Officer from Rohtas (Sasaram), Amarendra Kumar Gond, has been appointed as the District Education Officer of Khagaria. Gargi Kumari, who was serving as Programme Officer in Aurangabad, has been transferred to West Champaran on spouse grounds following her request. The notification specifies that no transfer allowance will be provided to her.

A copy of the Education Department’s notification has been forwarded to the Chief Secretary of the Education Department, the Governor of Bihar, the Chief Minister, the Minister of Education, the Accountant General of Bihar, and all relevant offices. The officers are required to assume their new positions as soon as possible. The notification was issued under the signature of Director of Administration, Subodh Kumar.
