Patna: Players of Bihar performed brilliantly in the Kyorugi event of the 7th National Cadet Kyorugi and Poomsae Taekwondo Championship held at Port Trust Diamond Jubilee Indoor Stadium, Visakhapatnam. Bihar secured one gold, one silver, and three bronze medals in the championship, placing third in the overall boys category.
Samta Rahi, Joint Secretary of the Bihar Taekwondo Association, shared that on the last day of the competition, Sonu Kumar won a silver medal in the under-41 kg weight category, bringing laurels to Bihar.
Earlier, Himanshu Kumar had clinched a gold medal in the under-57 kg weight category. Rohit Saini secured a bronze medal in the under-45 kg weight category, Shantanu Patel won a bronze medal in the under-61 kg weight category, and Ananya Kumari brought laurels to Bihar by winning a bronze medal in the under-59 kg weight category for girls.
