Patna: Bihar Chief Minister (CM) Samrat Choudhary on Saturday inaugurated the newly constructed 400-bed Super Speciality Orthopaedic Hospital at the Lok Nayak Jayaprakash Narayan (LNJP) Hospital campus in Rajvanshi Nagar, Patna.
After inaugurating the facility, the Chief Minister inspected its various departments, modern medical equipment and healthcare facilities. He also interacted with admitted patients to learn about the treatment and medical services being provided.
The super speciality hospital is equipped with world-class modular operation theatres, a state-of-the-art intensive care unit (ICU), a sports injury centre, an advanced radiology department, a modern physiotherapy unit, trauma and emergency services, outpatient department (OPD), plaster room, minor operation theatre, MRI facility, therapy rooms and an occupational therapy unit.
Addressing the gathering, the Samrat Choudhary said the state government’s objective was to provide world-class, high-quality healthcare services to the people of Bihar within the state itself. He said the launch of the modern hospital would ensure that patients suffering from serious orthopaedic conditions no longer needed to travel to other states for specialised treatment.
He added that the establishment of the Super Speciality Orthopaedic Hospital at LNJP Hospital was an important step towards achieving that goal, as it would provide comprehensive treatment and rehabilitation services under one roof, enabling patients to receive faster, better and more holistic medical care.
Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Kumar Choudhary, Health Minister Nishant, MP Ravi Shankar Prasad, MLA Sanjeev Chaurasia, MLC Naval Kishore Yadav, Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister Deepak Kumar, Chief Secretary Pratyaya Amrit, Development Commissioner Mihir Kumar Singh, Secretary to the Chief Minister Lokesh Kumar Singh, Health Department Secretary Kumar Ravi, senior government officials, and doctors and staff of Lok Nayak Jayaprakash Narayan Hospital were present at the event.
