Patna: Bhojpur District Cricket Association cruised into the final of the BCA Randhir Verma Under-19 One-Day Trophy 2025–26 after registering a convincing 133-run victory over Gopalganj District Cricket Association in the semi-final played at SSSCC Ground, Pawapuri Mor (Nalanda).
After winning the toss, Gopalganj opted to field first. Batting first, Bhojpur posted a formidable total of 360 for 6 in their allotted 50 overs. Avneesh Kumar led the charge with a well-crafted 100 off 119 balls, including 14 boundaries. Ashwini Kumar provided strong support with an aggressive 87 off 63 deliveries, striking eight fours and five sixes.
Among the other contributors, Ritwiz Raj Singh scored 28 off 27 balls, while skipper Arjun Singh added 37 from 50 deliveries. Aatish Kumar remained unbeaten on 47 off 27 balls, and Ritesh Kumar Pal chipped in with a quickfire 30 off just 12 balls.
For Gopalganj, Sujay Kumar Sharma and Dilip Kumar claimed two wickets each, while Shubham Pandey and Akanshu Rai picked up one apiece.
Chasing a daunting target of 361, Gopalganj were bowled out for 227 in 33.1 overs. Chandan Paswan top-scored with a brisk 68 off 45 balls, while Ashish Srivastava and Divya Prakash contributed 41 runs each. Ankit Yadav added 25 off 39 deliveries.
In the bowling department for Bhojpur, Mohit Kumar starred with figures of 3 for 32 in seven overs. Captain Arjun Singh also impressed with the ball, taking 3 for 30 in 5.1 overs. Ashwini Kumar claimed two wickets, conceding 36 runs in his eight overs, while Archit Kashyap and Shivansh Pandey picked up one wicket each.
