Patna: Anisabad Cricket Club claimed the title of the Indradev Rai Memorial Cricket Tournament, organised by Kumar Club at the Sanjay Gandhi Stadium in Patna. The team secured a 16-run victory over NMCC in a closely contested final.
Batting first after winning the toss, Anisabad Cricket Club scored 132 runs in 17.2 overs before being bowled out. Hariom Sharma was the top scorer with a solid knock of 43 runs.
In reply, NMCC was restricted to 116 runs in 16.4 overs, with Deepu Sharma contributing the highest score of 29 runs for his team. Akash Kumar from Anisabad Cricket Club delivered a match-winning performance, scoring 5 runs and taking 4 crucial wickets. He was adjudged the Player of the Match for his all-round display.
The awards were presented by former Industry Minister of Bihar, Samir Kumar Mahaseth, and former Patna Mayor, Shyam Babu Rai, along with other notable guests, including Madhurendra Kumar Singh, Naveen Kumar Jamuar, and Prem Ballabh Sahay. The organising committee’s patron, Ram Ishwar Prasad alias Sadhu Gop, honoured the players with bouquets, shawls, and mementoes. Organising Secretary Aditya Yogesh expressed his heartfelt thanks to the participants and attendees.
Several distinguished sports personalities, including Manohar Rai, Devki Nandan Das, Anjani Kumar Sinha, Vivekanand Ojha, Nathun Rai, and others, were also recognised for their contributions to the event.
