Patna: The All India Ranking Under-16 Boys and Girls Tennis Championship commenced on Monday at the Naseeb Sports Academy tennis courts. Organised by the Academy in collaboration with the Bihar Lawn Tennis Association, the event saw strong performances from local talents on the opening day. Pranjal Srivastava and Prabhakar Ranjan, both representing Bihar, emerged victorious in their respective matches. The inauguration ceremony was led by Satish Kumar, the Tennis Director of the Academy, who formally introduced the participants. The girls’ matches are scheduled to start from 22nd October.
Day 1 Results:
- Pranjal Srivastava (Bihar) defeated Utkarsh Sharma 6-4, 6-1
- Suvigya Chaudhary (Madhya Pradesh) defeated Shaurya Kant (Bihar) 6-3, 6-2
- Prabhakar Ranjan (Bihar) defeated Aarush Das (Assam) 6-3, 7-6(3)
