Raunit (RBNYAC) gets man of the match award

Patna: RBNYAC and PESU secured emphatic victories on Thursday in the Adhikari Madan Mohan Prasad Memorial Patna District Senior Division Cricket League (Super Six), organised under the aegis of the Patna District Cricket Association, to book their places in the semi-finals. ERCC have already advanced to the last four.
At the Gen Nex Cricket Academy Ground, RBNYAC registered a comprehensive 101-run win over Adhikari XI, while PESU thrashed Rising Star by 10 wickets at the Urja Stadium. Raunit (RBNYAC) and Shasheem Rathore (PESU) were adjudged Players of the Match for their outstanding performances.
Commanding win for RBNYAC
After winning the toss, RBNYAC posted a formidable 289 for nine in 40 overs. Raunit played a sensational knock of 108 off just 53 balls, smashing 11 sixes and five fours. Harsh Raj contributed 61, while Siddhant Vijay (38), Indrajeet Kumar (24), Mohammad Shahbaz Anwar (unbeaten 27) and Nandkishore (16) chipped in with valuable runs.
For Adhikari XI, Malay Raj claimed three wickets, while Akash Raj and Roshan Kumar picked up two each.
Chasing a daunting target of 290, Adhikari XI struggled from the outset, losing early wickets and failing to recover. Captain Kumar Rajneesh led the fight with 52, while Aman Avinash (54) and Akash Raj (35) offered some resistance, but the target proved beyond reach.
Utkarsh Kumar starred with the ball for RBNYAC, taking four wickets, while Siddhant Vijay bagged three. Shahbaz Anwar claimed two wickets and Shlok Kumar took one.
PESU’s clinical performance
In the second match, Rising Star, after electing to bat, were bowled out for 118 in 29.5 overs. Captain Aman Raj top-scored with a responsible 65, but lacked support from the other end.
For PESU, Abhijeet Saket took three wickets, while Rahul Rathore and Shasheem Rathore claimed two apiece to keep the opposition under pressure.
Chasing 119, PESU’s openers Piyush Kumar Singh and Shasheem Rathore adopted an aggressive approach from the start. The duo chased down the target without losing a wicket in just 9.3 overs.
Piyush remained unbeaten on 50, while Shasheem Rathore scored an unbeaten 61, sealing a convincing victory.
