Raunit of RBNYAC with player of the match award

Patna: In the Adhikari Madan Mohan Prasad Memorial Patna District Senior Division Cricket League (Super Six), organised under the aegis of the Patna District Cricket Association, RBNYAC registered an impressive 35-run victory over YMCC in a keenly contested match. Raunit, who scored a magnificent century of 110 runs, was adjudged Player of the Match for his outstanding performance.
The match, played at the Yashwan Sports Ground in Vikram, saw YMCC win the toss and opt to field first. Batting first, RBNYAC posted a competitive total of 217 for 7 in their allotted 30 overs. In reply, YMCC managed 182 for 8 in 30 overs, falling short by 35 runs.
RBNYAC’s innings was anchored by a brilliant knock from Raunit, who smashed 110 runs off just 78 balls, including 10 boundaries and seven sixes. He was well supported by Harsh Raj, who contributed a valuable 58 runs. The rest of the batting line-up, however, failed to make significant contributions.
Chasing the target, YMCC struggled to keep up with the required run rate. Shyamal Pandey top-scored with 61 runs, while Rishabh Rakesh added 38 and skipper Virat Pandey chipped in with 41. Despite these efforts, the team could not reach the target.
RBNYAC’s bowlers played a crucial role in sealing the victory. Siddhant Vijay delivered a match-winning spell, claiming 4 wickets for 23 runs in 6 overs, turning the game decisively in his team’s favour. Aman Anand also impressed with the ball, picking up 3 wickets to dent the opposition’s batting line-up.
With this win, RBNYAC have strengthened their position in the Super Six stage. Raunit’s century and Siddhant Vijay’s superb bowling proved decisive in the team’s triumph.
