Patna: In the Adhikari Madan Mohan Prasad Memorial Patna District Senior Division Cricket League, organised under the aegis of the Patna District Cricket Association, YMCC and BSEB registered impressive victories in matches played on Wednesday.
In one encounter, YMCC thrashed Sharma Sporting by a massive margin of 166 runs, powered by a blistering century from Satyam Kumar and an outstanding all-round performance by Suraj Kashyap (84 runs and three wickets). In the other match, BSEB edged past Crescent CC by one wicket in a nail-biting finish.
Satyam, Suraj Shine for YMCC
YMCC produced a dominant display to secure a one-sided win over Sharma Sporting. Suraj Kashyap (84 runs, 3 wickets) was adjudged Player of the Match.
Batting first after winning the toss at the local Gen Nex Cricket Ground, YMCC posted a formidable 324 for 7 in their allotted 35 overs. Satyam Kumar led the charge with an explosive unbeaten 129 off just 53 balls, striking 11 fours and 11 sixes. Suraj Kumar Kashyap contributed a fine 84 off 57 deliveries, while skipper Virat Pandey added 43 runs.
In reply, Sharma Sporting failed to withstand YMCC’s bowling attack and were bowled out for 158 in 28 overs. Rahul Kumar (33) and Aditya Kumar Rai (24) were the only notable contributors.
Gaurav Raj starred with the ball for YMCC, claiming 4 for 30 in seven overs, while Suraj Kashyap picked up three wickets.

Tusharkant Guides BSEB to Narrow Win
At Alpha Sports Academy, BSEB defeated Crescent CC by one wicket in a closely fought contest. Tusharkant was named Player of the Match.
Crescent CC, batting first, were bowled out for 150 in 40 overs. Ashish Raj top-scored with 40 off 37 balls, while Nadeem Striker (21) and Ritwik Raj (14) chipped in.
For BSEB, Tushar Kant delivered an excellent spell, taking 3 for 13 in seven overs. Parmeshwar Yadav picked up two wickets, while Shambhu Kumar and Pradeep claimed one each.
Chasing 151, BSEB faced a stiff challenge from Crescent CC’s bowlers and lost wickets at regular intervals. However, Pankaj Kumar Mishra’s crucial 44 off 36 balls steered the side towards victory. Deepak Kumar (25) and captain Mukesh Kumar Sharma (21) also made valuable contributions as BSEB reached 151 for 9 in 30 overs.
Gulrez Akhtar and Ritwik Raj took three wickets apiece for Crescent CC, but their efforts were not enough to prevent defeat.
