Patna: In the Adhkari Madan Mohan Prasad Memorial Patna District Senior Division Cricket League, organised by the Patna District Cricket Association, PESU and Sharma Sporting produced impressive performances to secure victories in Tuesday’s fixtures.
At the Urja Stadium, PESU defeated RBNYAC by four wickets, while at the Gen Nex Cricket Ground in Fatehpur, Sharma Sporting edged past PAC by two wickets in a closely fought contest.
Piyush Singh’s Ton Seals PESU Victory
In the match at the local Urja Stadium, PESU registered a crucial four-wicket win over RBNYAC. Batting first, RBNYAC posted 237 all out in 37.4 overs. In reply, PESU chased down the target in 39.2 overs, losing six wickets.
RBNYAC made a steady start, with Shlok Kumar top-scoring with a brisk 65 off 49 balls, including seven fours and three sixes. Raunit contributed 42 off 55 balls, while Harsh Raj added 41 from 35 deliveries. Siddhant Vijay (28) and Nand Raj Kishore (22) also chipped in as the side was bowled out for 237.
For PESU, Harsh Raj and Pawan Kumar claimed three wickets apiece, while Abhijeet Saket took two.
In response, PESU had a shaky start before Piyush Kumar Singh anchored the innings with a match-winning 109 off 86 balls, featuring nine fours and four sixes. Babul Kumar supported well with 53 off 51 deliveries. Pawan Kumar (24), Pankaj Kumar (15) and skipper Nikhilesh Ranjan (11 not out) ensured the chase was completed.
PESU finished on 242/6 in 39.2 overs to win by four wickets. For RBNYAC, Manmohan picked up two wickets, while Siddhant Vijay, Rupesh Kumar and Utkarsh Kumar claimed one each.

Sharma Sporting Clinch Thriller
At the Genex Cricket Academy Ground, Sharma Sporting secured a thrilling two-wicket victory over PAC.
Batting first after winning the toss, PAC scored 150/9 in 35 overs. Dhruv Kumar starred with an unbeaten 92 off 77 balls, striking 10 fours and five sixes. Captain Anup Kumar made 15, while Sachin Kumar added 11.
For Sharma Sporting, skipper Anish Kumar impressed with figures of 3/24 in seven overs. Aryan Raj and Aditya picked up two wickets each.
Chasing 151, Sharma Sporting got off to a brisk start, with Aditya Kumar Rai smashing 57 off 31 balls, including 10 boundaries and a six. Anish Kumar contributed 31 off 20 balls, while Chandra Mani Patel scored a quick 27 off 15 deliveries.
Despite a middle-order wobble, Dilkhush Yadav and Gaurav Kumar guided the side home, sealing a two-wicket win.
For PAC, Ravi Kumar and Dhruv Kumar claimed three wickets each, while Krit Sahni took two, but their efforts fell short.
