Patna: Begusarai stormed into the semi-finals of the BCA Men’s Senior One-Day Trophy 2025–26 after defeating Bhagalpur by six wickets in the quarter-final at Moinul Haq Stadium.
Opting to bat first, Bhagalpur were bowled out for 166 in 39.5 overs. Surya Raghuvansh top-scored with 31 runs, while Sachin Kumar contributed 27 and Aryan Kumar Singh added 20 runs.
For Begusarai, Sudhanshu, Harsh, Sumit, Abhishek and Danish claimed two wickets each to restrict the opposition.
In reply, Begusarai chased down the target comfortably, scoring 170 for the loss of four wickets in 27 overs. Gulshan Kumar led the batting with 40 runs, while Murari Kumar made 33 and Prithviraj chipped in with 29.
For Bhagalpur, Ankush, Surya, Bhanu and Chandan Rai picked up one wicket apiece.
With this victory, Begusarai secured a place in the semi-finals. The next quarter-final of the tournament at Moinul Haq Stadium will be played between Bhojpur and Katihar on Tuesday.
