People angry with Modi for not fulfilling promises: Misa

Patna, May 15: Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) candidate from Pataliputra Lok Sabha seat, Misa Bharti, has been actively engaging in an outreach campaign since filing her nomination.

On Tuesday, she campaigned in dozens of villages and sought votes.

Addressing one of the meetings in Karay panchayat area of Masaurhi, Misa Bharti said her fight was for upholding the Constitution. “If you do not wake up to this, the Constitution will be in danger. The slogan of “Abki Baar 400 Paar” is a direct indication of the BJP’s agenda to end the Constitution,” she said.

Bharti, who is the daughter of RJD president Lalu Prasad, claimed that there was a considerable anger among the common people towards Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Not a single promise made by the Prime Minister had been fulfilled, she said. “On the other hand, during his 17-month tenure as deputy chief minister, Tejashwi Yadav provided government jobs to five lakh youths. This has increased people’s trust in the RJD,” Bharti said.

“We are getting full support from everyone, including elders, youth and women. Tejashwi has given five lakh government jobs to the youth and this has increased the love and trust of the people,” Bharti said.

Targeting sitting Patliputra MP and BJP leader Ram Kripal Yadav, Bharti said there was a demand for a change in the constituency. “The development of Patliputra Lok Sabha constituency is possible only through change. She asked “uncle Ramkripal Yadav” for an account of his work in the last 10 years as MP. The RJD leader said Yadav had not been able to spend several crores of rupees from the MP fund in the constituency. “In such a situation, the claim of development is a sham,” she added.
