Patna: On the fourth day of the 14th Hockey Bihar Sub Junior Boys State Championship 2024, hosted by Hockey Siwan at the Adarsh Government Middle School and Hariram High School sports grounds in Mairwa, Muzaffarpur triumphed over Hockey Bhojpur 4-0 in the first semi-final to secure their place in the final. Amarendra Kumar Singh of Muzaffarpur dominated the game, scoring all four goals in the 7th, 23rd, 25th, and 38th minutes.
In the second semi-final, Saharsa edged out Patna with a 2-1 victory to claim their spot in the final. Patna’s Prakash Kumar Rana opened the scoring in the 12th minute, but Saharsa’s Aditya Raj quickly equalised in the 14th minute. The decisive moment came in the 46th minute when Ashutosh Kumar of Saharsa scored the winning goal, sending his team to the championship final for the first time.
The final match will be played between Muzaffarpur and Saharsa on Monday.
