Patna: Bihar made an impressive start in the Sub Junior National Girls Football Tournament Tier-1, which commenced on Monday in Malda, West Bengal.
With Anshu Kumari scoring five goals, Bihar secured a resounding 10-0 victory over Meghalaya.
Bihar, competing in Group B, will face Gujarat in their next match on 4th September.
In the match held at the DSA Ground in Malda, West Bengal, Bihar’s players began their offensive early. Within the first 15 minutes, Bihar had already netted three goals. Vaibhavi Raj Singh opened the scoring in the second minute, followed by Aradhana Kumari in the sixth minute, and Rinki Kumari Chauhan in the 15th minute. Before the close of the first half, Anshu Kumari added her first goal, bringing the team’s total to four.
Anshu Kumari maintained her exceptional form in the second half, scoring four more goals in the 46th, 47th, 66th, and 83rd minutes. Rinki Kumari Chauhan further contributed to the team’s triumph with two additional goals in the 84th and 86th minutes, completing her hat-trick and securing Bihar’s 10-0 win.
