Patna: A fire broke out in LN Tower near Tiwari Bechar Petrol Pump in the Kankarbagh police station area of Patna on Friday. The flames quickly intensified, prompting local residents to alert the fire department. Dozens of fire tenders arrived at the scene and managed to control the blaze. During the operation, firefighters rescued several people trapped in the apartment building.

Eyewitnesses reported that an auto parts warehouse and a rubber storage facility for doors were located near the apartment. A petrol pump was also situated next to the site, raising concerns about a potential major accident if the fire had not been controlled in time. Many residents were trapped inside the building, and a 50-year-old man was successfully rescued from the upper floor by fire department personnel.

Fire officer Manoj Kumar stated that the fire originated in the warehouse and was rapidly escalating. Approximately 12 fire brigade vehicles were deployed, and after one and a half hours of intense effort, the fire was contained. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.

The strong flames and smoke caused panic in the surrounding area, leading to a traffic jam near Kankarbagh. Traffic DSP Anil Kumar Singh and Traffic SP Ashok Kumar Singh took charge to ensure smooth traffic flow.

This incident follows another severe fire that broke out in Mushahari in the Gardanibagh police station area late on Thursday night, which was also brought under control after considerable effort.
