Patna: Indian women’s kabaddi team put up a brilliant performance at the 20th Asian Games in Japan, defeating Iran 37-34 in a closely fought final to win the gold medal.
Bihar Sports and Industries Minister Shreyasi Singh congratulated the Indian women’s kabaddi team and its officials on the achievement. She was present in the hall during the match and cheered the Indian players throughout the contest.
Bihar Sports Department secretary Deepak Anand and Bihar State Kabaddi Association chairman Kumar Vijay Singh were also present at the venue. They encouraged the Indian team and celebrated its impressive victory.
The final witnessed an intense battle between India and Iran, with both sides fighting hard for the title. The Indian players produced a strong performance at crucial moments to secure a 37-34 victory and claim the gold medal.
