Bihar U20 football team
Patna: A training cum selection camp for young footballers was organised at the Danapur Army Cantonment in Patna under the aegis of the Bihar Football Association, with the support of Inspector General of Police Jitendra Rana. Syed Imtiyaz Hussain, secretary of the Bihar Football Association, said the Bihar junior team for the upcoming Dr BC Roy Trophy 2026 was selected on the basis of the players’ performances during the camp.
The 20 players selected for the Bihar team are Badal Kumar, Barun Kumar, Govinda Kumar Sahani, Bharat Kumar, Nitesh Kumar, Raj Kumar, Ravi Kumar, Raunak Kumar Singh (goalkeeper), Prabhat Kumar, Rajkishore Oraon, Rakesh Baskey, Divyansh Kumar (goalkeeper), Akash Kumar, Snehan Chauhan, Sanu Kisku, Shani Kumar, Avinash Kumar, Aditya Kumar, Aman Kumar and Swadesh Singh.
Team captain: Govinda Kumar Sahani
Team officials: Santosh Kumar Singh — Head Coach; and Syed Belal Ahmed — Manager.
During the training and selection camp, both team officials played an important role in training and guiding the players and preparing the team. Following the selection, they have travelled with the Bihar team to participate in the Dr BC Roy Trophy 2026, where they will guide the players and oversee team management throughout the competition.

Giving details, Syed Imtiyaz Hussain said Bihar will play Rajasthan on September 1, Uttarakhand on September 3 and Jharkhand on September 4. The team that performs well in these matches and finishes successfully in its group will qualify for the final round.
Syed Imtiyaz Hussain extended his best wishes to all the selected players and team officials for the Dr BC Roy Trophy 2026. He expressed confidence that the young Bihar team would put up an impressive performance in the competition and bring laurels to the state.
