Patna: As part of the Har Ghar Tiranga Abhiyan-2026, a grand Tiranga Yatra was taken out from Ambedkar Chowk to Patel Chowk in Haveli Kharagpur in Munger district on Friday under the leadership of Bihar Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary.
Ministers of the Bihar government, MLAs, Legislative Council members, school students, social and political workers, and a large number of local residents took part in the procession with enthusiasm.
On the occasion, Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary said the Tiranga is a symbol of the country’s unity, integrity and pride. He said the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign is an important initiative to strengthen respect for the nation, patriotism and the spirit of national unity among citizens. He appealed to people to turn the campaign into a movement involving every section of society.
During the Tiranga Yatra, Haveli Kharagpur was filled with patriotic fervour as slogans of ‘Bharat Mata Ki Jai’, patriotic music and the sound of drums echoed through the town. A large number of people carried the Tiranga in their hands, expressing their commitment to the nation and their sense of pride.
During the procession, the Chief Minister paid tribute by offering floral tributes and garlanding the statues of renowned artist late Nandalal Bose at Nandalal Bose Chowk, Dr BR Ambedkar at Ambedkar Chowk, and Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, popularly known as the Iron Man of India, at Patel Chowk.
Those present on the occasion included Sugarcane Industries Minister and Munger district in-charge minister Sanjay Kumar, MLAs Nachiketa and Kumar Pranay, Legislative Council member Lal Mohan Gupta, other elected representatives, Chief Minister’s Secretary Sanjay Kumar Singh, Munger Divisional Commissioner Prem Singh Meena, Deputy Inspector General of Police, Munger Range, Rakesh Kumar, District Magistrate Nikhil Dhanraj Nippanikar, Superintendent of Police Syed Imran Masood, other senior officials, students, social and political workers, and a large number of local residents.
