Patna: Bihar’s pride and Indian para-athlete Soman Rana created history by winning the Gold Medal in the Men’s Shot Put F57 event at the Commonwealth Games Glasgow 2026. With a remarkable throw of 13.40 metres, Soman secured the top podium finish, bringing immense pride to both India and Bihar.
His outstanding achievement is a testament to his dedication, perseverance, and sporting excellence. Soman Rana’s historic victory serves as an inspiration to aspiring athletes across the country and marks another glorious chapter in Indian para sports.
Soman is under Bihar Government’s sports scholarship policy and last two years he was given cash awards during Khel Samman Sammaroh.
