Patna: Declaring that “welfare schemes must reach every eligible citizen without delay,” Bihar Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary on Wednesday launched a massive state-wide outreach programme covering all 534 blocks. The initiative, titled Block Cooperation and Public Welfare Camps (Prakhand Sahyog Sah Jan Kalyan Shivir), aims to bring government services directly to people’s doorsteps and ensure faster delivery of benefits.
The Chief Minister inaugurated the campaign by lighting a ceremonial lamp and simultaneously kick-starting camps across the state. Through a remote system, he also unveiled and laid the foundation stones for 73 development projects linked to the Phulwari Sharif Assembly constituency in Patna district.
The main event was organised at Nadiyawan village under Ismailpur Panchayat, where multiple departments set up service counters. Officials from key departments, including Home, Health, Education, Agriculture, Social Welfare, Revenue, Transport, and Food and Civil Supplies, participated actively, providing on-the-spot assistance and information about various welfare schemes.

During his inspection of the stalls, the Chief Minister reviewed the implementation of schemes such as scholarships, Kisan Credit Cards, PM Kisan Samman Nidhi, Aadhaar services, Chief Minister Entrepreneurship Scheme, Kanya Utthan Yojana, housing schemes, social security pensions, and Ayushman Bharat health coverage.
Beneficiaries at the camp received approval certificates, symbolic cheques, and keys under various government programmes. Emphasising the importance of the initiative, Mr Choudhary said the camps are not just awareness drives but a practical step to ensure that citizens can access benefits easily in one place.
He highlighted improvements in social security pensions, noting that financial support for the elderly, widows, and persons with disabilities has been increased from ₹400 to ₹1,100. He added that while around 94 lakh families are already receiving pensions in Bihar, nearly 18–20 lakh eligible individuals are still left out due to incomplete documentation or Aadhaar linkage issues. He directed district officials to identify and include such beneficiaries at the earliest.

Speaking about long-term development goals, the Chief Minister said the state is working in alignment with the national vision of making India a developed country by 2047. He also underlined Bihar’s efforts towards economic self-reliance and inclusive growth.
Samrat Choudhary announced that the government is promoting solar energy by installing rooftop panels, which would provide free electricity for up to 25 years. He further said that 48 lakh women in the state have already become financially independent under the Lakhpati Didi scheme, with a target to raise this number to one crore in the next two years.
On employment and welfare, he assured that pending payments under the Chief Minister Women Employment Scheme would be credited to beneficiaries’ bank accounts within a month. He also stated that a significant number of houses have been constructed under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, benefiting lakhs of families.

The Chief Minister revealed that over 3.25 lakh applications have been received through these camps so far, of which more than 2.75 lakh have already been resolved. He added that nearly all applications are being processed within 25 days, reflecting improved administrative efficiency.
Reaffirming the government’s commitment to development, Choudhary said that Bihar is witnessing rapid progress in infrastructure, law and order, and industrial growth. He stressed that such welfare camps would play a vital role in ensuring transparency, efficiency, and last-mile delivery of government services.
The programme was also attended by senior ministers, public representatives, and administrative officials, along with a large number of local residents who benefited from the initiative.
