Hyderabad: Uttarakhand defeated Bihar by six wickets in the U-19 Vinoo Mankad Tournament at Hyderabad’s NexGen Cricket Ground. After winning the toss and electing to bat, Bihar were bowled out for 162 runs in 45.1 overs. In response, Uttarakhand chased down the target, scoring 166 for four wickets in just 27 overs. Bihar’s next match is scheduled against Sikkim on 6th October.
For Bihar, Anubhav Singh top-scored with 40 runs, followed by Deepesh Gupta with 38, Vasudev Prasad Singh with 24, Gautam Kumar with 21, Aditya Sinha with 12, and Harsh Patel with 11 runs. For Uttarakhand, Lakshya Raichandani was the pick of the bowlers, taking 3 wickets. Shahanshah Alam and Shashank claimed two wickets each, while Goldie and Abhijeet picked up one wicket each.
Uttarakhand made light work of the chase, losing only four wickets. Aarav Mahajan remained unbeaten on 71 runs, supported by Samarth with 45 runs and Lakshya with 18. For Bihar, Badal Kumar took 2 wickets, while Vasudev Prasad Singh and Satyam claimed one wicket each.
