Siwan Titans and Saran Strikers Secure Semi-Final Spots in First Bihar Women’s Kabaddi League

Patna, June 14: Siwan Titans and Saran Strikers advanced to the semi-finals of the First Bihar Women’s Kabaddi League at the Patliputra Sports Complex on Friday. Earlier in the day, Sitamarhi Sentinels achieved a resounding 43-21 victory over Magadh Warriors, securing third place in the points table. Suruchi Kumari of Sitamarhi Sentinels was named Best Raider with 15 raid points, while Anjali Kumari of the same team earned the Best Defender title with 9 tackle points.

In another match, Nalanda Ninjas triumphed over Siwan Titans with a score of 34-18. Nancy Priya of Nalanda Ninjas was awarded Best Raider with 13 raid points, and Mani Kumari of Siwan Titans was named Best Defender with 5 tackle points. Additionally, Saran Strikers edged out Patna Pelicans 21-18, with Gungun Chauhan of Patna Pelicans recognized as Best Raider with 6 raid points, and Anushka Kumari of Saran Strikers as Best Defender with 8 tackle points.

On Thursday evening, Siwan Titans showcased their skills by defeating Patna Pelicans 25-16. Gungun Chauhan of Patna Pelicans was declared Best Raider with 7 raid points, while Komal Kumari of Siwan Titans was named Best Defender with 5 tackle points. In another exciting game, Saran Strikers beat Magadh Warriors 30-25, with Sundar Kumari of Magadh Warriors earning Best Raider with 9 raid points, and Pratibha Kumari of Saran Strikers taking Best Defender with 5 tackle points.

The final match of the evening saw Sitamarhi Sentinels and Nalanda Ninjas draw 21-21 in a thrilling contest. Nancy Priya of Nalanda Ninjas secured the Best Raider title with 7 raid points, and Anjali Kumari of Sitamarhi Sentinels was named Best Defender with 10 tackle points.

After 27 matches, Siwan Titans lead the points table with 36 points, followed by Saran Strikers with 33 points, Sitamarhi Sentinels with 25 points, and Nalanda Ninjas also with 25 points. With Siwan Titans and Saran Strikers confirmed for the semi-finals, the crucial match between Sitamarhi Sentinels, Nalanda Ninjas, and Patna Pelicans this evening will determine the remaining two semi-final spots. Magadh Warriors are out of the race for the semi-finals.
