Patna: The Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) will commence its membership campaign on 18th September 2024. The campaign will be inaugurated by the party’s national president, Lalu Prasad Yadav. Key leaders of the party, including the Leader of the Opposition, Tejashwi Prasad Yadav, and State President Jagdanand Singh, are expected to be present at the launch.
In an effort to strengthen the party’s organisation, Tejashwi Yadav is currently on a worker dialogue tour. The first phase of his tour focuses on the Mithila region, where he is engaging with party workers from Samastipur, Darbhanga, Madhubani, and Muzaffarpur to gather their perspectives and feedback.
Once Tejashwi Yadav returns from his tour of these four districts, he will incorporate the workers’ suggestions to further enhance the membership campaign, which will be led by Lalu Prasad Yadav.
As assembly elections approach, all political parties are actively working to bolster their organisations through membership drives. The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is also conducting a nationwide membership campaign as part of their organisational expansion efforts.
