Patna: Patna Police have made significant progress in the investigation of the shooting incident involving the Chief Security Officer of AIIMS, Patna. Two suspects have been arrested, but the main accused, Pinku Yadav, brother of Danapur’s influential MLA Ritlal Yadav, remains at large.
Providing details, Patna West SP Abhinav Dhiman stated that Pinku Yadav is believed to have fired on AIIMS Chief Security Officer BN Rai. According to the police, Pinku Yadav had previously threatened Rai over the phone.
The incident is linked to a pressure campaign by certain individuals who were attempting to secure security guard positions at AIIMS through coercion. On August 19, BN Rai received a threatening phone call from someone identifying himself as Pinku Yadav, who demanded that specific individuals be hired or face dire consequences.
