Patna: The planetarium in Patna, the capital of Bihar, is set to introduce a state-of-the-art Virtual Reality (VR) 3D theater at a cost of Rs 5.59 crore. This new theater will utilize advanced technology to allow the audience to experience the real world while immersing themselves in a virtual environment.
Specially designed chairs are being prepared for this VR experience, featuring a unique design that allows 25 chairs to be installed together. These chairs will enable 25 spectators to simultaneously enjoy the virtual world. Once completed, the VR theater will host multiple shows throughout the day, offering visitors an enhanced and immersive experience.
To watch the VR shows, viewers will be provided with headgear that will enable them to fully immerse themselves in the virtual world while still feeling connected to the real one. This headgear has been meticulously designed to offer a seamless blend of reality and virtuality.
In addition to the upcoming VR theater, the planetarium recently introduced two new shows: ‘Voyager’ and ‘Tree of Life.’ These shows, available in both Hindi and English, have replaced the previous programmes, ‘We are Stars’ and ‘Asteroid Mission Extreme.’
