Patna: The district administration has made extensive preparations for the upcoming 358th Prakashotsav in Patna, with a focus on excellent crowd management, smooth traffic flow, and robust law and order maintenance. Patna District Magistrate Dr Chandrashekhar Singh and Senior Superintendent of Police Avkash Kumar emphasised that the safety, convenience, and orderly conduct of the thousands of devotees attending the event will be the administration’s top priority.
The festival will take place from 4 January to 6 January 2025 at Takht Shri Harmandir Ji, Patna Sahib, where large crowds are expected. The event holds significant religious and tourism value, and organisers, along with administrative officials, are ensuring seamless coordination between all departments to provide the best possible services to the devotees.
Both the DM and SSP have instructed all deputed magistrates and police officers to respect the sentiments of the devotees and ensure their safety without any lapses. Officials have been directed to approach their duties with humility and diligence to ensure the success of the event.
The administration has made comprehensive arrangements for processions, security, law and order, and traffic management. Special teams, including Quick Response Teams (QRT), Quick Medical Response Teams (QMRT), and personnel from the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) and National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), will be stationed at the river ghats for additional support.
To ensure the comfort of the devotees, the administration has guaranteed clean water, uninterrupted electricity supply, and adequate medical facilities throughout the event. Officials have been reminded of their responsibilities to ensure that the festival runs smoothly without any disruptions.
Additional measures have been implemented to streamline traffic, particularly in parking areas and on main roads. Continuous monitoring of all arrangements will be carried out to ensure no inconvenience is caused to the devotees.
This event not only holds religious significance but also showcases the district administration’s commendable preparation and coordination to provide a safe and well-organised experience for both tourists and devotees.
