Patna: Following the victory of NDA candidates on all four seats in the Bihar Assembly by-elections, jubilant celebrations erupted at the BJP office. Party workers exchanged sweets, burst crackers, and expressed their enthusiasm for the resounding win. BJP State President Dilip Jaiswal, Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary, and Bihar government ministers Nitin Nabin and Mangal Pandey were present to mark the occasion.
Addressing the media during the celebrations, Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary launched a sharp critique of the Grand Alliance. “Those who called this election a semi-final have been delivered a decisive message by the public. The NDA will emerge victorious in the next assembly elections as well. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the people of Bihar,” he said.
Chaudhary emphasised the public’s continued trust in the leadership of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and Prime Minister Narendra Modi. “The Grand Alliance attempted to create a misleading narrative in Bihar, but the public has outright rejected it. The people have sent a clear message that the NDA is the only government suitable for Bihar,” he added.
The celebrations extended beyond the BJP office, with workers also marking the victory at the JD(U) and Hindustani Awam Morcha (HAM) offices.
Background on By-Elections
The by-elections were necessitated after four MLAs resigned upon being elected to the Lok Sabha earlier this year. RJD MLA Sudhakar Singh from Ramgarh became MP from Buxar, HAM(S) MLA Jitan Ram Manjhi from Imamganj was elected MP from Gaya, RJD MLA Surendra Prasad Yadav from Belaganj won in Jehanabad, and CPI-ML MLA Sudama Prasad from Tarari was elected MP from Ara.
Voting for the by-election seats took place on 13th November, with the results declared on 23rd November, sealing a clean sweep for the NDA.
