Muzaffarpur Triumph Over Darbhanga by 48 Runs in BCA Senior Super League

Patna: Muzaffarpur defeated Darbhanga by 48 runs in the BCA Senior Super League at the Moinul Haq Stadium on Friday.

Muzaffarpur set the stage in the first innings, scoring 325 runs while Darbhanga managed 265, giving Muzaffarpur a 60-run lead. In the second innings, Muzaffarpur scored quickly, posting 147 runs in 33.5 overs, and set a target of 208 runs for Darbhanga to win.

On the final day, Darbhanga resumed their first innings at 264 runs for nine wickets and were dismissed after adding just one run. Muzaffarpur, with notable contributions from Aditya Kumar (58 runs), Shivam Kumar (20 runs), Atulya Priyankar (30 runs), and Vishal Raj (19 runs), put Darbhanga on the back foot. Darbhanga’s Manish Kumar was the standout bowler, taking 6 wickets, supported by Navneet Jha (2 wickets), and Subhash and Brij, who took 1 wicket each.

Chasing the target of 208, Darbhanga’s Ayush scored 43 runs, Tripurari 19 runs, Altamas Asraf 49 runs, and Abhishek Mahato 13 runs. However, Muzaffarpur’s Thakur Devashish proved to be the game-changer, taking 8 wickets, leading to Darbhanga being all out for 159 runs, securing Muzaffarpur’s victory by 48 runs.
