Kilkari Patna Girls Triumph in 31st Bihar State Junior Ball Badminton Championship

Patna: Kilkari Patna claimed victory in the girls’ category of the Baidhanth Prasad Memorial 31st Bihar State Junior Ball Badminton Championship, defeating Begusarai 35-27, 35-28 in the final. The championship took place at BP Indraprastha International School, Mithanpura, Muzaffarpur, where both teams showcased impressive skills and sportsmanship.

In the final match, Kilkari’s Harshita, Divya, Khushi, and Srishti put up a strong performance, while Begusarai’s Komal, Kashish, and Mahi played admirably, but Kilkari emerged as the better side.

Semi-Finals:

  • Begusarai won against Darbhanga 35-28, 35-28 in the first semi-final.
  • Kilkari defeated Barh 35-15, 35-18 in the second semi-final.

Barh and Darbhanga shared third place in the tournament.

Player Awards:

  • Khushi Kumari of Kilkari was named Best Player for her outstanding performance throughout the tournament.
  • Komal Kumari of Begusarai was awarded Best Upcoming Player.

Prize Distribution: The chief guest, Prof. Suhaili Mehta, Vice President of the Bihar Ball Badminton Association and BJP spokesperson, along with other notable dignitaries, including Dr Rajiv Kumar, Dr Sanjay Kumar, and BP Indraprastha International School’s Principal Subroto Roy, distributed the awards to the winners and runners-up.

The event was organised by Muzaffarpur District Secretary Rajiv Kumar Sinha and Organising Secretary Rajesh Kumar Sinha, with a vote of thanks from District President KK Singh.

The tournament highlighted the growing talent in ball badminton, celebrating both competitive spirit and team effort.
