Patna: The Janata Dal (United) aka JD(U), under the leadership of Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, has formed its new state executive, with key figures close to the CM being placed in prominent roles. This move is seen as part of the party’s preparations for the upcoming assembly elections. In a significant step towards restructuring, the party has dissolved all its previous cells and reconstituted them, along with issuing guidelines to leaders to ensure a strong electoral strategy.
The new executive consists of 68 members, with 62 prominent leaders taking central positions, including National President Nitish Kumar, Executive President Sanjay Jha, Union Minister Lallan Singh, Vashishtha Narayan Singh, Vijayendra Prasad Yadav, Vijay Kumar Chaudhary, Umesh Kushwaha, Dashai Chaudhary, Chandreshwar Prasad Chandra, Vijay Kumar, Santosh Kushwaha, Dulal Chandra Goswami, Anil Prasad Hegde, Kavita Singh, Ram Kumar Sharma, Ashwamegh Kumar, Ashfaq Karim, Kailash Baitha, Manoj Kushwaha, Krishnanandan Verma, Chandrika Rai, Shailesh Kumar, Manju Verma, Shyam Bihar Prasad, Divyanshu Bhardwaj, and Abhiram Sharma.
Among the younger leaders, Divyanshu Bhardwaj, the former president of the Patna University Students’ Union and the current state secretary of the JD(U), expressed his gratitude for being included in the new state executive. Bhardwaj acknowledged the trust placed in him by the party’s leadership, including Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, National President Lalan Singh, and Executive President Sanjay Jha. He also thanked other senior leaders such as Minister Vijay Kumar Chaudhary and state president Umesh Kushwaha for their continued support.
