Patna: Prashant Kishore, the architect of the Jan Suraaj Padyatra and renowned election strategist, made a significant announcement during the state-level meeting of women associated with Jan Suraaj at Bapu Sabhagar, Patna. He revealed that the Jan Suraaj Party will contest all 243 assembly seats in Bihar, with at least 40 of these seats reserved for women candidates. Additionally, he stated that the number of female candidates would be increased for the 2030 elections. The formal announcement of the Jan Suraaj Party’s formation is scheduled for October 2.
Kishore emphasised that true equality for women in society is unattainable without economic freedom. Consequently, the party aims to send forty women to the Legislative Assembly. He also mentioned that the Mahila Samvad has passed proposals advocating for women to receive loans at a four percent interest rate, backed by a government guarantee, for business purposes.
Over 15,000 women from across the state participated in the conference at Bapu Sabhagar, Patna. In the presence of Prashant Kishore, discussions focused on women’s participation in politics and social issues affecting them. Previously, Kishore had declared that under a Jan Suraj government in Bihar, Biharis would no longer need to migrate for low-paying jobs of ₹10,000-₹20,000, as employment opportunities would be provided within the state.
Prashant Kishore continues his journey across Bihar, engaging with villagers and discussing the state’s challenges. He confidently asserts that if given the opportunity, he will transform Bihar into one of the best states in the country. Kishore has also confirmed that Jan Suraj will field candidates for all 243 seats in Bihar.
