Hyderabad Score 349 Runs as Bihar Face Early Setback in U-23 CK Nayudu Trophy

Patna: Hyderabad opted to bat first after winning the toss in the opening match against Bihar of the U-23 CK Nayudu Trophy at the Moin-ul-Haq Stadium today. Hyderabad posted a total of 349 runs in their first innings. Captain Mayank Gupta led the innings with an impressive century, scoring 115 runs. Manish Kumar was the star bowler for Bihar, taking five wickets.

Ahead of the match, Awadhesh Narayan Singh, Chairman of the Bihar Legislative Council, and Patna Mayor Sita Sahu were introduced to the players and offered their best wishes. The chief guests and BCCI match officials were welcomed with bouquets and shawls. Bihar Cricket Association President Rakesh Kumar Tiwari expressed his gratitude to the guests and shared essential instructions for the successful conduct of the match.

Hyderabad Captain Mayank Gupta: 115 rums

In Hyderabad innings, other notable contributions included Avinash with 60 runs, Vignesh Reddy with 53, Aman Rao with 34, Paras with 37, and Ilian with 20. For Bihar, along with Manish’s five wickets, Anup claimed two, while Aditya and Suraj took one each.

In reply, Bihar faced early troubles, losing two wickets for just 20 runs in their first innings. Animesh was dismissed for one run, while Anup Kumar was out without scoring. Hyderabad’s N Nitin took both wickets.
