Patna: The Hundred Bolt Gold Bihar Mini (U-7/9/11) State Badminton Tournament 2024 is set to be held in Patna from 22nd to 24th November. This eagerly anticipated event is organised by the Patna District Badminton Association under the guidance of the Bihar Badminton Association (BBA) and will take place at the Physical Training College Hall in Rajendra Nagar, Patna. The tournament aims to bring together the best young badminton talent from across the state.
Over three days, selected players who have excelled in district-level tournaments will compete in singles matches across three categories: U-7, U-9, and U-11. These young athletes represent the top tier in their age brackets, as eligibility is limited to district-level winners, runners-up, and semi-finalists. The host district, Patna, has been granted permission to enter four players per category, giving local talent a significant chance to shine on home ground.
The Bihar Badminton Association has set a registration fee of ₹300 per player, to be submitted during registration. It is important to note that parents or guardians are responsible for covering all expenses related to the tournament, including travel, accommodation, and meals, ensuring that young participants have the necessary support during the event. Furthermore, the BBA requires guardians to handle arrangements for their children’s accommodation and overall well-being throughout the competition.
The tournament holds additional significance as the performances of participating players will directly impact their eligibility for the upcoming Mini National Badminton Championship 2024 (U-11), scheduled to be held in Thane, Maharashtra. This gives young players an added incentive to perform well, as the tournament will serve as a selection platform, enabling outstanding performers to represent Bihar at the national level. The stakes are high, and the competition is expected to be intense, with players vying not only for local recognition but also for the chance to compete on a larger stage.
To ensure the smooth conduct of the tournament and compliance with eligibility requirements, participants are mandated to bring their school identity cards and Aadhar cards. This documentation will serve as proof of age and eligibility, streamlining the administration process and providing transparency.
The BBA is excited about the tournament and expects a highly competitive event that will showcase the future of Bihar’s badminton scene. By providing this platform, the association aims to foster young talent and support their athletic development. The tournament is an important stepping stone for aspiring athletes, offering them an opportunity to demonstrate their skills, gain valuable experience, and aspire to represent their state at the Mini National Badminton Championship.
As the countdown begins, enthusiasm is building among participants, parents, and local supporters, all eager to witness the exceptional talent that Bihar’s young badminton players have to offer. With high stakes and high spirits, the event promises to be a celebration of dedication, talent, and the spirit of competition, setting the stage for the future of badminton in the state.
