Patna: Union Minister and LJPR Chief Chirag Paswan has expressed his enthusiasm upon regaining the Lok Janshakti Party’s (LJP) former office at 1-Wheeler Road in Patna. Sharing his sentiments, Chirag emphasised the deep emotional connection the office holds as it is associated with the memories of his late father and party founder, Ram Vilas Paswan.
Chirag took a veiled dig at his uncle and RLJP president, Pashupati Kumar Paras, accusing him of “snatching away” the office three years ago. He remarked, “The memories of my father are tied to this place. No one can take those memories away from me. His blessings have always been my strength, helping me navigate and overcome challenges.”
Reflecting on the past three years, Chirag said the party had been functioning without a permanent office. He expressed relief and happiness over the return, noting, “We were suddenly denied access to this office three years ago, and I never had the opportunity to bid farewell to the place where I began my political journey. Today, it feels like reclaiming a vital part of my father’s legacy.”
Although Chirag avoided directly naming Pashupati Paras, his remarks highlighted the emotional significance of the office and the impact of the internal family and political conflict within the LJP. He concluded on a positive note, expressing his satisfaction at having regained the symbolic headquarters of the party.
