Patna: Good news has come about another road project in Bihar. The central government has approved the construction of an elevated road from Anisabad to Didarganj in Patna. The project will involve an investment of ₹1000 crore.
Patna Sahib MP Ravi Shankar Prasad met with Union Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari, during which positive steps were taken regarding the scheme. Minister Gadkari approved the project and directed the National Highway Authority in Patna to prepare the Detailed Project Report (DPR) at a fast pace.
The elevated road is expected to alleviate severe traffic jams on National Highway-30 in Patna. Local residents, who are happy with the approval, now have hope of getting rid of the persistent traffic congestion.
The construction of the elevated road will significantly ease movement on National Highway-30, which remains jammed throughout the day due to numerous schools and residential colonies in the vicinity. Night-time truck traffic exacerbates the congestion. Therefore, the elevated road is seen as the only viable solution to this problem.
MP Ravi Shankar Prasad expressed his gratitude to Minister Gadkari for the swift decision and anticipates that the National Highway Authority will act promptly to address the serious traffic issues on National Highway-30 in Patna.
