Patna: Bihar BJP state president Sanjay Saraogi on Tuesday announced that the expansion of Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary’s cabinet will take place on May 7. The swearing-in ceremony is scheduled to be held at the historic Gandhi Maidan, where preparations are currently underway in full swing.
Several prominent leaders are expected to attend the ceremony, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, BJP national president Nitin Nabin, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Union Health Minister J. P. Nadda, and JD(U) national president Nitish Kumar.
Meanwhile, a meeting was held at the Bihar BJP state office to review preparations for the proposed cabinet expansion on May 7, as well as to plan for the first visit to Bihar of Prime Minister Modi, BJP national president Nitin Nabin, and the Union Home Minister following the party’s significant victories in West Bengal, Assam, and Puducherry.
The meeting, attended by state president Saraogi, focused on the event’s outline, organisational arrangements, and logistical planning. He issued several key directives during the discussions.

Organisational general secretary Bhikhu Bhai Dalsania and former minister and MLA Nitish Mishra were also present. Detailed deliberations were held to ensure the programme is successful, well-organised, and memorable.
Saraogi further stated that the swearing-in ceremony will also be attended by LJP (Ram Vilas) chief and Union Minister Chirag Paswan, Union Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi, Rashtriya Lok Morcha chief Upendra Kushwaha, along with other Union Ministers from Bihar and NDA leaders.
He added that preparations are in full swing at Gandhi Maidan for what is expected to be a historic event, where the Governor will administer the oath of office and secrecy to the new ministers.
Several former ministers, MLAs, members of the Legislative Council, state office-bearers, heads of various party wings, and district in-charges were also present at the meeting.
