Patna: The body of a student missing for four days was recovered from a newly built house in Maharani Colony of the Bypass Police Station area, causing panic throughout the neighborhood. The deceased has been identified as 17-year-old Anubhav, a class 10 student from Simultala, Jamui.
Local residents informed the police, who arrived at the scene, took custody of the body, and sent it for post-mortem. Authorities are investigating the case from all possible angles.
Anubhav had returned home for the summer vacation. His father, Sub-Inspector Vijay Kumar Sahi, is posted in Araria. Anubhav went missing on May 20, and despite the family’s efforts to locate him, no clues were found.
Local resident Mithilesh Kumar Singh reported that the family had been searching for Anubhav for four days. It was only when a foul smell was detected that they discovered Anubhav’s body.
The teenager’s body was found on the roof of his house. On May 21, the family had filed a missing person’s report at Bypass Police Station. The police subsequently recovered Anubhav’s body from the family’s newly constructed house. The entire family is in shock over the incident.
Bypass Police Station in-charge Rajesh Kumar stated that a missing person’s case was registered on May 20. The student’s body was discovered on the roof of their newly built house today. The investigation is ongoing.
