Patna, July 12: The 11th National Beach Kabaddi Championship for both men and women will be held in Bodh Gaya from August 9 to August 11. This event is organized by the Amateur Kabaddi Federation of India and hosted by the Bihar State Kabaddi Association.
Apoorva Sukant, President of the Bihar State Kabaddi Association, announced that Bodh Gaya is hosting this championship for the second time, the first being in 2007. The tournament will feature 28 teams in both categories. Numerous international and national players, including Arjun and Dronacharya Awardees, are expected to attend.
Kumar Vijay Singh, Chairman of the Bihar State Kabaddi Association, stated that preparations are already underway, supervised by Tejaswi Singh, President of the Gaya District Kabaddi Association. Excellent arrangements are being made for the accommodation and meals of the players. Matches will be held on the banks of the Falgu River.
Tejaswi Singh added that players and guests will receive a grand welcome at Gaya Railway Station and Gaya Airport. They will be given tours of Gaya, Bodh Gaya, and Rajgir to showcase the development of Bihar. Traditional Bihari dishes will also be served.
