Bihar Players Dominate at All India Under-16 Tennis Championship

Patna: Bihar’s young tennis stars have made a strong showing at the All India Ranking Under-16 Boys and Girls Tennis Championship, organised by the Bihar Lawn Tennis Association and hosted at Naseeb Sports Academy, Patna.

In the boys’ singles, four players from Bihar—Satyam Prakash, Avinash Rai, Prakash Ranjan, and Yash Raj—have stormed into the semi-finals, keeping Bihar’s hopes alive for a homegrown champion. On the girls’ side, Arya Parashar, Aashi Sharma, and Aditi Mishra, all from Bihar, have also reached the semi-finals, with West Bengal’s Shreen Ghosh joining them.

Boys’ Singles Quarterfinal Results:

  • Satyam Prakash (Bihar) defeated Chaitanya Kabir (Bihar) 6-1, 6-4
  • Avinash Rai (Bihar) defeated Sarthak Anand (Bihar) 6-0, 6-1
  • Prakash Ranjan (Bihar) defeated Ayan Yadav (Uttar Pradesh) 6-2, 7-5
  • Yash Raj (Bihar) defeated Animesh Sagar (Bihar) 6-4, 1-6, 6-2
