Bihar Fall to Madhya Pradesh by 128 Runs in U-19 Vinoo Mankad Trophy Clash

Patna: Bihar faced a 128-run defeat against Madhya Pradesh in the Under-19 Vinoo Mankad Trophy match held at Nexgen Cricket Ground, Hyderabad. Bihar’s next match is set against Chhattisgarh on 10th October.

After winning the toss, Bihar chose to field first. Madhya Pradesh capitalised on their batting opportunity, posting a strong total of 317 runs for nine wickets in their allotted 50 overs. In response, Bihar was bowled out for 189 runs in 47.3 overs.

Madhya Pradesh’s innings featured several key contributions: Praneet Patidar (23), Yashvardhan Singh (15), Manal Chauhan (34), Kumar Aryan (39), Rudransh Singh (45), Akshat Dwivedi (26), Saransh Surana (51), Anant Dubey (36), with Rohit Singh (15*) and Sumit (5*) remaining unbeaten.

For Bihar, Badal Kumar led the bowling attack with three wickets, while Suman Saurabh and Vasudev Prasad Singh each claimed two. Tejaswi Yadav and Suman Kumar added one wicket each to their tally.

In their chase, Bihar struggled to build momentum, with Hemant Singh standing out as the only consistent performer, scoring 85 runs before being run out. Other contributions included Captain Md Alam (5), Ayush Raj (19), Prithviraj (7), Deepesh Gupta (24), Suman Saurabh (5), Anurag Kumar (20), Suman Kumar (1), Vasudev Prasad Singh (6), and Badal Kumar (1).

Madhya Pradesh’s bowlers, led by Avnish Chawla with four wickets, Sumit Singh with three, and Manav Chauhan with two, proved too strong for Bihar’s batting line-up.
